Action > FibIILc

Calculates a "Fiber Stress Check" for "State II" (= cracked concrete) for a certain load case.  Alternatively, a reinforcement design for State II can be performed. If any stress in concrete exceeds the tensile stress limit (stress limit I), a linear ultimate load check is started. This check uses a linear stress-strain curve   (modulus of elasticity) within the specified stress limit II.  The tensile stress in concrete is set to zero.

SettingDescription
Action Code of the selected Action. It is possible to switch to another action without leaving and re-entering the input function.
Action will be skipped (Option) The action will be skipped in the calculation process if the option is selected.
Input-1 > Load case name Name of the load case, for which the stress check/the reinforcement design has to be done.
Input-2 > No. stress limit I Number of stress limit pair of the concrete, which represents the allowable stress (tensile strength) of uncracked concrete.
Note: The calculated uncracked stresses are compared with the respective tensile limit.A check for cracked concrete is only done if this limit is exceeded.
Input-2 > No. stress limit II Ordinal number of the stress limit pair used for cracked concrete analysis.

Stress in concrete, reinforcement and tendons will be checked.

Attention: This number must be the same for all materials considered in the analysis.
Note: Any specified tensile stress limit for concrete will be ignored.
Input-2 > (Initial strain loadcase) Optional entry. Name of the load case, which is used to calculate the initial strain of the tendons. (Translation in stress-strain curve for ultimate load analysis)
Note: If * is entered the program takes the initial tendon strains from superposition 1, if empty (default), from the summation load case specified in the recalc pad.
Input-3 > (Rein) If this option is selected, a reinforcement design will be done. It is done for elements, where the stresses, calculated by cracked concrete analysis, exceed the stress limit II.
Output-1 > (Superposition file) Optional entry. Name of a superposition file, whereto the calculate plane strain of cracked concrete shall be stored.  This allows later check in form of list or plot files for this superposition file.
Note: The superposition file must exist. (Generation with SupInit.)
Output-2 > List File Name of list file, whereto results of fiber stress check/ reinforcement design will be written. Default input '*' automatically generates a list file name:
  • "fibi"+load case name+".lst", if a fiber stress check is done.
  • "fibr"+load case name+".lst", if a reinforcement design (Option: Rein) is done. Example: Load case name "SLS" generate list files fibiSLS.lst or fibrSLS.lst

If there is no input, no list file will be created.
